To start, I have used JBL products for years and have everything from their excellent professional studio monitors, to home stereo speakers, to bluetooth wireless speakers. Let's talk more about them and why I found them to be great. The microphone picks up my voice adequately enough to be intelligible to the other caller, but once again sounds typical of a compact headphone. It also ships with two pairs of silicon sleeves of different thicknesses. I do not feel silly wearing these. Unfortunately, the tradeoff is hearing damage. I am basing this review from my experience with several pair of True Wireless In-Ear headphones. 3 JBL Reflect Mini 2.0 – In-Ear Wireless Sport Headphone – Best JBL In Ear Wireless Headphones … Overall these JBL earbuds are great at what they do and that is play music or videos, and phone calls. As mentioned by many other reviewers, the only "fix" offered by JBL and Harman is to reset the unit by holding down on the button on the right ear bud until the white light blinks twice. I estimate the time it takes for you to press play on your phone to when you hear music or a video is about 2.5 seconds. The charging case has LED indicators to let you know the state of charge, and the ear buds connect to your phone (or iPad) as soon as you take them out of the charging case, you don't have to re-pair them each time. these don't stay in my ear if doing any vigorous movement like bouncing or jumping or even looking down for too long. The case not only protects and stores them, but it also is an external battery that charges them. Must change volume thru your phone. We'd like to work with you directly and try some troubleshooting steps so we could isolate the issue. One bonus is that when placing the ear piece in its charger case you have 1 hr of use after only 15 minute of charging. I am very surprised by the performance and sound quality. The JBL Frees do produce solid bass. - Sound - - When the buds are charging, the case will remain on for awhile with lights showing while the case is closed. I'm surprised with the duration of the battery, I use them maybe three to four hours daily while watching movies on my tablet and I probably don't need to charge the case maybe until the fifth or sixth day. One thing I did notice was using these earbuds to watch video content on Netflix, there appeared to be a millisecond delay from what you see and what you hear on the screen. If you are upgrading from the earbuds that came with your phone, then you are going to be amazed at how good they sound and how much sonic detail you were missing. - Phone - The case is strong and solid, charges them multiple times, and allows you to see them without having to open the case to see they are in there. I get it’s nice to see the charging level while it’s closed but I think it would preserve battery if it didn’t do that I have emailed customer service so we will see how that goes. Many of their headphones are portable for easy storage. Pay so much for something that doesn’t work. The Good The JBL E55BT is an attractively designed over-ear Bluetooth headphone that's relatively comfortable, sounds decent and works reliably. Mids seemed ok. I was surprised how well they sounded for something this small at its current price point. They sound ok but for the price they could be better - The controls are simple on these. After 3 uses the left side goes in and out. I gave up and ordered Jaybird Vistas instead, which I'm super happy with so far. One side won't connect at all. These earbuds stink for voice transmission. I also like that you can use just one ear piece should you be wearing it at work like myself, the other one just remains off in the charging case. Unfortunately, I will continue to use my wired apple earbuds for hands-free communications. I believe that JBL is 100% aware of how huge these earbuds are. If you have every had difficulty keeping earbuds in your ears – these will absolutely have the same problems. Prices and offers are subject to change. The 1 hour of charging is usually enough to get me through to the end of the day (although I frequently have to take the out when I receive phone calls, or have to talk to co-workers).
